Who we serve

White Glove MFT handles licensing for marriage and family therapists and LMFTs — state applications and licensure by endorsement, license verifications between boards and renewals. There is no MFT compact \u2014 the jurisdictions, so for most people it is the fast route — but it depends on your home state being a member. Nurse practitioners are served by our sister team at whitegloveaprn.com, and psychiatrists at whitegloveimlc.com.

Getting Licensed in a New State

Endorsement — Access MFTs state

$499 each

The seventeen states that have adopted the model law do not re-evaluate your degree, your supervised hours or your National MFT Examination result. That is genuinely less work than a fresh application, so it costs less. We confirm the board is treating your file that way before you pay, and file it end to end.

Full state license application

$749 each

Where the board evaluates the file from scratch. We screen your National MFT Examination result, your program’s COAMFTE accreditation at the time you graduated, and your complete license history before you spend a non-refundable fee — then file, chase the registrar and the supervised-hours documentation, and carry the board correspondence.

Jurisprudence Exam Support

$249 per state

Several states require an exam on their own statutes and rules before they will issue, including some that adopted the model law. It is not clinical and it is not the National MFT Examination — it is that state’s own rules, and it is the step people most often discover late.

Portability Review

$149 one-time

What the destination board actually requires, asked of the board in writing before you pay it anything. Whether it treats you as an endorsement file, whether it adds a jurisprudence exam, and where your record is thin — supervised-hours documentation is the usual gap. Credited against the application fee if you go ahead.

Renewals

Annual Renewal & CE Compliance

$199 per year

Every state you hold a license in renews on its own date, with its own continuing-education requirements, and they rarely line up. No license here is load-bearing for the others — that is the advantage of endorsement over a privilege — but it does mean several calendars instead of one. We track them together and file ahead of each.

Important Fee Notice

(Prices above do not include the following)

The prices listed above reflect our service fees only. Additional costs paid directly to third parties — these are set by AMFTRB and the state boards, and they change from time to time, so we confirm the current schedule at intake:

  • State license fees — vary widely by board, are non-refundable, and are charged again at each renewal. Confirm the current schedule before you file.
  • National MFT Examination result and recertification — maintenance fees plus the CME required to keep certification current. Every state license rests on this.
  • Board application fee — paid to the destination board, and not refundable if the application fails.
  • Jurisprudence exam fee — where the state requires an exam on its own statutes, charged separately and on its own schedule.
  • Jurisprudence exams — several states charge separately for a state law exam on top of the application.
  • Official transcripts — charged by your program, and most boards require them sent directly by the institution rather than forwarded by you.
  • Fingerprinting — $30–$70 in state vendor fees; more for out-of-state hard-card processing.
  • Notary, courier, and state renewal fees — where a third party is involved.

One thing worth being explicit about: a license is not payer enrollment. Getting paid in a new state is a separate exercise, per-payer, and it frequently takes longer than the license did. It is handled by our sister team at whiteglovecredentialing.com. See how moving states works for the full picture.
